Roofing & Installation FAQ
How Do I Know If I Need A New Roof?
Look for curled shingles, granule loss, leaks, or repeated repairs; we’ll confirm with photos from our inspection.
How Long Does It Take To Install A New Roof?
Most asphalt roofs can be completed within one day. There are occasions where a larger, more complex roof requires an extra day. Metal roofing can take up to five days to install because every panel must be measured, cut, and fastened correctly.
Why Do Roofing Estimates Differ By Thousands?
Not all roofing estimates are created equal. Lower bids aren’t always “lower”, but can look like that on the surface. They could be using lower grade materials that don’t perform as well and installs that don’t provide the actual protection your home needs in Wisconsin’s freeze and thaw cycles and extreme weather. Some quotes exclude tear-off, permits, drip edge replacement, or deck repairs—planning to add them as “extras” once you’ve signed.
It’s important to ask every contractor exactly what’s included, what materials they’re using, and what happens if repairs are needed—that’s when you’ll see why the prices differ.
Finally, warranty quality matters: a 50-year non-prorated warranty backed by a manufacturer like Owens Corning costs more to provide than a contractor’s handwritten “lifetime” guarantee that disappears if they go out of business.
Do You Offer A Warranty?
Yes, all of our roofing solutions offer a manufacturer’s warranty as well as an installation warranty. This is dependent upon what type of roof you are installing. We have included all warranty information from the manufacturer for their warranties on materials and labor.
What Materials Do You Use?
We primarily use Owens Corning, Mule Hide, Central States, and Unified Steel for roofing projects. These are quality brands with trusted reputations and solid warranties up to 50 Years depending on the materials used for your roof.
Do You Provide Material Samples?
Yes, our team will provide you with samples so you can see the quality and colors in the roofing material types we offer.
Can I Keep My Existing Gutters
Absolutely, if they are in good condition and the new roof type is compatible with your existing gutters.
Can I Keep My Existing Soffits & Facia?
It is not recommended to keep existing soffits and facia. Even if they are in good condition, keeping them can run the risk of having future issues with sealing, ventilation, and drainage.
