Siding Installation for New Madison Homes

Siding Installation for New Madison Homes

New construction siding gives you a chance to choose the home’s exterior before everything is finished around it. The siding needs to work with the home’s design, windows, doors, roofline, and other exterior details while also providing the protection the house needs from Wisconsin weather.

There’s a lot going on before a new home is ready for siding. Windows need to be in, openings need to be prepared, and the installation has to line up with the roof, doors, trim, and the rest of the exterior. We handle new construction siding in Madison, WI, and keep our part of the project organized around those details.

Choose Siding That Fits the Home

Materials, Styles & Finishes

The siding you choose will have a major effect on the finished exterior, but appearance isn't the only consideration. Different materials have different maintenance requirements, durability, installation methods, and price points. We'll help you compare the options and choose siding that fits the home's design, your budget, and how much maintenance you're comfortable taking on.

Vinyl Siding

Vinyl siding is available in a wide range of colors and profiles and is a practical option for homeowners looking for a relatively low-maintenance exterior. It can work well with a variety of home styles and can be paired with different trim options.

Fiber Cement Siding

Fiber cement siding offers a durable exterior with the ability to create different looks, including styles that resemble painted wood. It's a good option for homeowners who want a more substantial siding material and are willing to invest in a higher-end exterior.

LP SmartSide

LP SmartSide is an engineered wood siding option designed to provide the appearance of wood with added durability. It can be used in a range of home styles and offers different profiles and finishes for creating a specific exterior look.

Wood Siding

Wood siding brings natural texture and character to a home's exterior. It can be a strong choice when the design calls for a traditional or distinctive appearance, although it generally requires more ongoing maintenance than some other siding materials.

Siding & Exterior Design

Make the Different Pieces Work Together

Siding doesn’t exist on its own. The final appearance of a new home depends on how the siding works with the windows, doors, roof, gutters, garage, and trim.

We’ll consider those details when discussing siding options so the finished exterior has a consistent look rather than feeling like a collection of unrelated materials.

New Construction Siding Installation

Get the Installation Right From the Beginning

New construction gives the installation crew a clean starting point, but timing and preparation still matter. The siding needs to be installed at the appropriate stage of construction and properly integrated around windows, doors, corners, rooflines, and other exterior features.

Our installers work according to the project schedule and pay attention to the details that affect the finished appearance and performance of the siding.

Siding for Wisconsin Homes

Built for the Local Climate

Madison homes deal with hot summers, cold winters, rain, snow, wind, and significant temperature changes throughout the year. The siding is one part of the home’s exterior system that helps protect the structure from those conditions.

We’ll help you choose durable siding materials that make sense for the home and install them properly so the exterior is ready for the weather ahead.

Coordinate Siding With Other Exterior Work

Keep the Project Moving

New construction projects involve a lot of moving parts. Windows, doors, roofing, gutters, and siding all need to be completed at the right stages, and delays in one area can affect the rest of the schedule.

When siding is being installed alongside other exterior work, we’ll communicate with the appropriate people involved in the project and keep our portion organized.

New Construction Siding Madison FAQ

We install several siding options for new construction, including vinyl siding, fiber cement, LP SmartSide, and wood siding. Each material has different characteristics when it comes to appearance, durability, maintenance, and cost.

We’ll help you compare the available options based on the design of the home, your budget, and how you want the finished exterior to look and perform.

Siding is installed after the exterior has reached the appropriate stage of construction and the underlying surfaces and openings are ready. The exact timing depends on the project and how the work is being coordinated with windows, doors, roofing, and other exterior components.

We’ll work with the construction schedule so the siding installation happens at the right point rather than creating unnecessary delays for the rest of the project.

Yes. Siding needs to be carefully finished around new construction windows, doors, corners, and other openings. These areas require precise measurements and proper finishing so the siding looks clean and works properly with the rest of the exterior.

Our installers pay particular attention to these transitions because they have a noticeable effect on the finished appearance of the house.

There isn’t one siding material that’s best for every home. Vinyl, fiber cement, LP SmartSide, and wood can all make sense depending on the home’s style, your budget, maintenance preferences, and the performance you’re looking for.

We’ll help you compare the materials rather than pushing you toward one particular product. The goal is to choose siding that makes sense for the house you’re building.

Yes. Fiber cement siding can be a good option for new construction when you want a durable exterior with a range of style and finish options. It can also create a more substantial appearance than some lightweight siding materials.

If you’re using different contractors for different parts of the build, we’ll communicate about the work that affects our installation and keep you informed about our portion of the project.

The timeline depends on the size and design of the home, the siding material, the number of exterior details, and how prepared the project is when our crew arrives. A straightforward home may move quickly, while larger or more detailed exteriors naturally require more time.

We’ll discuss the expected schedule before installation and keep you informed if anything affecting our work changes.

The cost depends on the size of the home, siding material, design, number of windows and doors, trim details, and installation requirements. A larger home with multiple exterior features will naturally require more material and labor than a smaller, simpler design.

We provide free estimates so you can understand the expected investment before siding installation begins. We’ll also explain the materials and work included in the estimate.

South Central Wisconsin Roofing was a local company known to us. The Owens Corning system they use is the best we saw and it has a Fifty Year, transferable warranty. They also were the best price on replacing our roof. Many said they couldn't start for some time; South Central started a week after receiving our deposit. Their crew showed up on time and wasted no time. Old roof was off, new roof on and all cleaned up in one day. Overall outstanding; price, product, labor and importantly, people. We recommend them, period.
